It seems like a sad time for the LGBTQ Community of late. The death and outing of Sally Ride followed by the death of Gore Vidal and now Chevala Vargas. It seems that some of the best and brightest of our community have passed the veil. Of the three, Vargas was the only one to either come out or identify as lesbian/gay in their lifetime. Vidal hated labels, but can be described as queer, and Ride chose to remain in the closet.

Tonight, we celebrate, if you will, the life of Chevala Vargas with the above song whose title translates as In The Last Drink.
