There are obituaries too hard to write.  Scott McKenzie has passed away.  And for someone my age, it’s like closing a door we don’t know was there.  This wasn’t a death-too-young-by-drugs like Janis or too many others.  Scott was 73 and suffering from Guillain-Barre syndrome, a neurological disorder. 

Even if we weren’t going to San Francisco, as much as we all wanted to, we wore flowers in our hair and dreamed of equality, peace and justice, freedom and love.  Seventy-three….where did it all go, our youth, our dreams, our hopes for ourselves, our children and our planet.  When did we get old?
