For the past 25 years The Discovery Channel has presented a week-long worth of shark-related programs to bring attention to the endangered sharks. In more recent years it has become a media event when the week begins. Fans all over the globe get glued to their TVs and watch the now famous Mythbusters‘ Shark Special, and to start it all off is Air Jaws Apocalypse, which starts at 9 PM on Discovery, followed by Shark Week’s Impossible Shots at 10PM ET/PT.
