US Women Win Soccer Gold

First Megan Rapinoe comes out of the closet and now she has gold.  The United States Women’s Soccer Team defeated Japan’s team in a two to one final.  The team was anchored by goalkeeper Hope Solo- no relation to Han Solo.  Rapinoe played throughout part of the game being pulled out at the 57 minute mark.  Rachel Buehler also played part of the game, being pulled for a substitution at the 80 minute mark. Both goals came thanks to Carli Lloyd who scored the first goal at the 8 minute mark and the second at the 54 minute mark.  Abby Wambach earned a yellow card during the match.

The US team had lost to Japan at the 2011 World Cup. The Japanese team did not allow themselves to go down scoreless with Yuki Ogimi scoring one goal late in the game.
