Sandra Turner Fukumoto has filed a complaint against Preserve Marriage Washington and the National Organization for Marriage. The filing to the state Public Disclosure Commission alleges that both groups have not properly reported their finances. Frank Schubert, the political director for NOM and the campaign manager for PMW, though, disagrees.
The two groups are seeking to overturn Washington’s marriage equality law. PMW has raised under $400,000 to get the law overturned, but Washington United for Marriage has raised $5.8 million in support of the law.
The PDC’s officials will review the complaint, which is 188 pages long, to determine whether or not there is substance to this complaint and if it requires further investigation.
