Our embassies and consulates in the Middle East are on high alert and most are being protected by local authorities. The protest in Peshwar, Pakistan, was peaceful, but the one in Cairo has entered its third day and it is feared it will be even bigger on Friday. Over 250 people have been injured in Cairo in the clashes between the protesters and police. The embassy in Yemen has also been the site of protests and attempts to enter the embassy.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has made a video being broadcast and internetted throughout the Middle East denouncing the movie trailer which started this nightmare and explaining that in America we have freedom of speech and do not repress even the most heinous junk.

The filmmaker has finally been identified, along with the man responsible for the re-making of the film into a hate-spewing scree against Islam. The Justice Department is investigating both of them.
