Memo To Comedy Central

Once upon a very long time ago, television programs could be 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Got that 15 and 45 part? Good.
I am seriously tired of watching The Daily Show in pieces…30 minutes on my TV and another 15 on-line. Face it, Jon Stewart is one of the best interviewers on television today. So, here’s my proposition: Expand both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report to 45 minutes each. Okay, you’ll probably have to give Jon and Stephen raises, but I’m sure you’ll make it up easily. Colbert could fill the extra 15 minutes with The Word, since we don’t get that enough out of him.
So, how about it? I’m willing to give up Robot Chicken at midnight for the extra time.
