According to Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight.com, President Barack Obama’s poll numbers are normalizing back down towards where they were a while ago, but Obama is still leading Romney as the Republican’s campaign appears to descend into chaos, if the various pundits are to be believed.
On that backdrop, four polls show that both Tammy Baldwin and Elizabeth Warren are leading in their individual states. Baldwin, who is running for Senate in Wisconsin, is leading former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson 50 to 45 according to the Feldman Group or 48 to 45 according to PPP. Warren is leading Scott Brown by either 48 to 46 according to PPP or 50 to 44 according to Western New England University Polling.
How these numbers fair in the long run will depend on a lot of factors.
