Rufus @ 8m/o

Today is September 11th. When I woke up this morning the first thing on my mind was that my puppy, Rufus, was turning 3 years old. He’s no longer my puppy, but a dog. I let him out to go outside and play in his yard. When I let him back in, he was happily covered in dirt and mud from digging and playing in the dew-covered grass.  Felix had woken up and was happily watching cartoons while drinking a bottle. I made a pot of coffee and went to wake up with my partner before he had to go to work.

It was a good morning.

After my partner left for work and I got my cup of coffee, I settled in for cartoon-watching with the kid and working on articles for you lovely people. I got on my Facebook page and was reminded of what today REALLY is. It is September 11th. A date that will live on in history. How could I have not thought of that first thing this morning? Am I a bad patriot for not having it be the first thing on my mind this morning? I became very sad as I carefully remembered that fateful morning. Tears came. It was awful. I don’t really want to talk about it and cry in front of my kid, so….today’s TT is about remembering.(ALL VIDEOS FROM YOUTUBE.COM)
