Thanks to for reporting about “The Cross in the Closet” author, Timothy Kurek, and his personal experiment to understand what it is to be “gay” in order to better understand homophobia.

See, Kurek isn’t gay. He’s actually a straight Evangelical raised to believe that homosexuality is a sin. It was only when a lesbian friend was crying in his arms after her family had disowned her for being gay that he realized that something was wrong with his reaction and what he was taught to believe about God and homosexuality.

Check out this brave, open-minded man and his story about being an openly gay Christian for 1 year to better understand the fight against homophobia.
