According to GLAAD: Spirit Day is annual day in October when millions of Americans wear purple to speak out against bullying and to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth.
Everyone is wearing purple today! (It is never too late to go get something purple to add to your wardrobe to show support, even a piece of purple paper and a safety pin will work.)
Hosts of Good Morning America, The Talk, Days of Our Lives cast, Facebook, the LOGO offices, the NBA, Dianna Agron, Chaz Bono, DJ Pauly D, Fran Drescher, The band fun., Joel McHale, Sir Ian McKellan, Maria Menounos, Wendy Williams, Lezgetreal.com and many, many more pledge to wear purple in stand against bullying. Are you wearing purple today? I am.

bradwest414: “Standing against #bullying by wearing #purple for #GLAAD #SpiritDay – as a past victim I hope as few kids as possible have to go through that.”
A lot of people have bravely come forth and finally told the world that they were bullied, myself included. Non-victims will never understand the personal strength it takes to do this and take a stand against being bullied and bullying of others. Bullying does personal, emotional damage. It is not funny. It is not a game.
