A day later than expected, Dave Rosser, medical director of Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England, has met with the press and given the world a much-anticipated update on the condition of Malalai Yousufzai. We have embedded the video of Mr. Rosser’s statement as posted by The Guardian.
We have also received word from Pakistan that a telephone is being installed in the Yousufzai home so that Malalai’s family may speak with her. For the time being, she will be able to hear them and can use a surrogate to speak to them. England undoubtedly has many Pakistanis who will volunteer to be her voice for this purpose.
