Did you catch their ties? Red on Romney, blue on Obama. It was the only funny part of the debate. The unfortunate part of the debate was that as the challenger, Romney is selling the dream while as the incumbent, Obama has a record to defend... and he won't explain to the American people that the biggest reason his record sucks on domestic issues is that the Republicans in Congress have opposed everything he has tried to do. In the first two years they had the power of the filibuster to stop anything truly visionary from happening, and for the past two, they held the House. Obama's failures are not his, they are the failures of a partisan Congress determined to make him a one-term anachronism. Obamacare is an abortion because the Republicans would not allow it to be true health CARE reform, and reduced it to mere health INSURANCE reform. I have great hopes for Vermont's upcoming single-payer system... which is the issue the Republican challenger for governor is attacking. Wherever Democrats have tried to make systemic changes for the future, Republicans have attacked them and undermined them. This is the true threat of a Romney win... the great American electorate being too uninformed to realize they are following a dream back to an oligarchy.
