Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the James Bond franchise. We wrapped up the final theme song that had been released back on 30 September, but the new theme song has come out since then and we shall play it tonight. Adele manages to give one of the better Bond themes in a while, though she does not have the depth of voice that Shirley Bassey had. Of course, Bassey holds the record for the number of Bond themes sung with three.

Still, Adele’s “Skyfall” is definitely one of the better Bond themes with her signature vocals and a very soul essence that marks some of the best Bond themes.
