All Hallow’s Eve began as the Celtic festival of Samhain, the feast celebrating the dead. Ironically, when the Catholic Church went into Mexico they found that the Aztecs celebrated a similar festival- but in the Spring. When the Catholic Spanish could not stop the celebration honoring the dead, they moved the day to 1 November to coincide with All Saint’s Day. It was kind of ironic.
And just as a note, LGR is moving very slowly right now. One of our ad servers was hit by Sandy.
