Last week we saw the queens bully Mimi Imfurst as the queen was already on her way out the door, dragging Pandora Boxx bitching behind her. Who will go home this week? Let’s find out.
This week’s special guest judges were none other than the hilarious Vicki Lawrence, and blonde Busy Phillips. The queens began the show by entering the Werk room, sans drag, and chatted about the last episode, including Pandora giving up as soon as she as paired with Mimi, Chad Michaels realizing that being in the bottom 2 is like being in the gutter, and finally congratulations to Team Latrilla (Latrice & Manila) as the girls realize that this time around the closet, you have to work well with your partner, not just yourself.
RuPaul appears when the queens get She-Mail. She opens with a joke I had to share with my housemates and now with you;
“A drag queen walks into a Hollywood bar with a parrot on her shoulder. The bartender looks and asks “Where did you get that?” The parrot replies “Its Hollywood. They are everywhere!” …ROFLMFAO
This week’s mini-Challenge is a game called “InDaButtRu”, which is based on The Newlywed Game. This is where the teams are separated into 2 groups. The first group goes away while the second is asked questions about their partners. Then they switch groups. When they come back together they have to answer the questions in front of everyone and hope they have the same answer as their partner. They start with Team Rujube (Raven & Jujubee).
Probably the most entertaining and distracting of the teams was Team Brown Flowers (Tammy Brown & Nina Flowers). This is first realized with the first question when asked “What kind of boy undies does your partner like to wear?” Tammy begins by telling Nina that they must “Sniff the flowers” and then answers happily with a “Grass. She wears grass underwear. She wears grass underwear because it is always green.” *BLINK, BLINK* … Obviously, she was wrong.
As the game ends, Rujubee is declared the winner of InDaButtRu, they are awarded with pies delivered by The Pit Crew, who promptly hit them in the face with the pies. Ru then explains that this is the perfect segue into this week’s main challenge, “RuPaul’s Gaff-In”. The girls will have to write, and perform in a classic comedy sketch dressed as celebrities and performing with Vicki Lawrence AS Mama from her famous show “Mama’s Family“.
As the queens have a seat and try to write jokes, they find themselves a bit lost figuring out which celebrity they will impersonate. This becomes a problem when Team Brown Flowers hasn’t heard of each others’ celebrity. THAT should be interesting to watch. Team Matrice has very little trouble figuring out their celebrities, which just shows how well these two queens know their personal repertoire. I was actually impressed to see how well they worked together, seeing as they are VERRRY different people. Team Rujubee seemed to have the most trouble because, while both queens are funny people, neither is a writer of jokes. Hmm…

La Lupe Who?
Ru makes her rounds to the queens to see how they are doing with their routines. This is where Ru makes everyone unnerved and points out everything wrong with their ideas so far. Everyone seems rattled after their meetings, except 1. Tammy Brown. She doesn’t do jokes in her normal performances, so she has no interest in writing jokes for this challenge, which suddenly makes her teammate, Nina, very nervous.
When Ru struts out onto the Main stage, I don’t knw who makes her dresses, but DAAAAAAYMN! Ru was stunning in this episode’s gown for judging. Beautiful colors and compliments her skin tone so beautifully.
When the Girls hit the runway they are serving up some fabulous 1960′s inspired fashion. Personally, I liked Chad Michaels outfit, but then again I am a B&W fashion fiend. I was a bit disappointed to see almost ALL the teams do MOD style clothing. There was so much more fashion in the 60s that they just forgot to use.
While on most of Ru’s shows the guest judges tend to be timid, I was thrilled to see Lawrence stand up for who she liked and her decisions on who was in the bottom. Seeing this comedy legend was amazing, especially seeing as she hasn’t skipped a beat and still seems as wonderfully full of life as she was 20-30-40 years ago. Bravo for Vicki!

puts on reading glasses RuPaul reached her peak last season. This isn’t even a true all star cast, but either the love-to-hate ‘em or weirdo leftovers (plus the cash prize hasn’t grown from last season, you notice?) The RuPaul’s Gaff-In and the cocktail party segments were painful to watch. Though his face is flawless, he looked OLD (not retro). He used to be cutting edge, now he’s a has been. Even the queens were talking about who should have been there, but they probably turned down the “offer” because they had better things to do than compete against a bunch of annoying losers. A true all star cast would be the top 2 of the past 3 seasons.

I’m still trying to get used to the new team judging system on this season of All-stars. I hope by the second All-stars show they will go back to individual evaluations. I missed this past episode because of my work schedule at DISH. I recorded this episode on my Hopper but I couldn’t wait to see who was eliminated. I can’t wait to see RuPual’s outfit, she always looks flawless. I’m still not sure who will take home the title, but since I have a ton of DVR recording room I’m set to record the rest of the season including “Untucked” when it airs.
