In the mid-season finale of Doctor Who Series 7, Rory‘s father is left behind to “water the plants” while his son and daughter-in-law took on  The Weeping Angels in Manhattan with the help of The Doctor and his wife/their daughter, River. If you were lucky enough to see this, you were left with a giant loose end. What happened to Rory’s father after the “departure” of the Ponds?

Thanks to BBC America that question has been answered in a moving scene released today. I watched it myself and was, honestly, brought to tears. Its moving, heart-felt, and ties the loose end up quite perfectly, while still leaving the character of Brian open for “Doctor” visits. ;D
