A meteorite estimated at 30 ft. in diameter and weighing approximately 10 tons exploded in a shallow trajectory over the Ural Mountains in Siberia this morning. The shock wave blew out windows and twisted window frames. The flash from the explosion was visible from over 200 miles away.
While no deaths have been reported, injuries from the flying glass and debris are approaching 1,000 and still rising.
