Cyberspace…the final frontier…sorry, absolute silliness, let us try that again. Cyberspace…the land of sex tapes, dubious fame, and web shows. Well, Rolla Selbak has kicked off her new webseries “Kiss Her I’m Famous” over at tellofilms.com. The show stars The Real L-Word’s Tracy Ryerson as well as Ilea Matthews (The Violent Kind) and features Rizwana Manji (Outsourced).
The show follows two down-and-out best friends looking for fame, and doing so in all the wrong places.
As noted, in this time where “gratuity and fake publicity seems to be able to catapult just about anyone who knows how to press ‘record’ on a camcorder into the spotlight”, “Kiss Her I’m Famous” seeks to parody the sex tape culture that has launched the careers of Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and so many, many more.
The show seeks to “satirizes the booming business of the sex tape madness, and how celebrity wannabes utilizes their home movies as a ticket to greater stardom and a major payday. Kiss Her I’m Famous follows two hilarious and clueless characters as they aim to create a celebrity sex tape that launches them into fame.”
The season will be subscription only for the time being. It can be watched here at Tello Films for $3.99 for the first six months.
So far, there have only been these two episodes:
“The Crush”: Jen and Mandy, unlikely best friends, deal with misbehaving lovers.
“The News”: The girls receive news that changes everything.
Kiss Her I’m Famous can also be reached through their main site Kissherimfamous.com.
