Dr. Ben Carson recently held a panel about getting past the Race Card, but apparently he cannot get passed the race card himself. Carson has been resoundly criticized for his statements regarding same-sex marriage. He linked it to bestiality and pedophilia not long ago.
“My thoughts are that marriage is between a man and a woman, it’s a well-established uh, fundamental pillar of society. No group, be they gays, be they NAMBLA [the North American Man/Boy Love Association], be they people who believe in beastiality, it doesn’t matter what they are, they don’t get to change the definition. So it’s not something that’s against gays, it’s against anybody who wants to come along and change the fundamental definitions of pillars of society. It has significant ramifications.”
Carson is now upset and claiming that Liberals are threatened by him and that they are racists. The head of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University stated to talking head Mark Levin that Liberals “need to shut me up, they need to get rid of me. They can’t find anything else to delegitimize me, so they take my words, misrepresent them and try to make it seem that I’m a bigot.”
Levin responded saying “And you’re attacked also, in many respects, because of your race. Because you’re not supposed to think like this and talk like this. A lot of white liberals just don’t like it, do they?”
Carson then said “Well, you know, they’re the most racist people there are. “Because, you know, they put you in a little category, a little box, you have to think this way. How could you dare come off the plantation?”
Carson is suppose to be the commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins’ graduation ceremony. Facing criticism, he has said he would step aside. Of course, the hope is that he will not step aside so he can face the collective student body of his school as they denounce him.
Carson also has a problem. Not only has he been stating that he wanted to put an end to the use of the Race Card, but he seems to have no clue about the history of push to repeal bans on interracial marriage. He especially never quite grasped that he uses the same bigoted arguments that were used against Blacks not long ago to attack Gays.
