Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is in custody. He is wounded, but he is alive, and in custody. He was the second of the two men who planted explosives at the Boston Marathon. While he is alive, it is unclear how badly wounded he is.

The Boston PD tweeted “Suspect in custody. Officers sweeping the area. Stand by for further info.”

Additionally, there appears to be two others, both college age, who have been taken into custody. It is unclear what part they played in this.

We are also learning that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s brother did have a wife, Katherine Russell, and a daughter. It was unclear if the information to come from the Tsarnaev’s sister was accurate in that case. The parents of Ms Russell stated:

“Our daughter has lost her husband today, the father of her child. We cannot begin to comprehend how this horrible tragedy occurred. In the aftermath of the Patriot’s Day horror, we know that we never really knew Tamerlane Tsarnaev.”

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was pinned down in a boat in Watertown. He fled there after ditching a car that he fled in following a shootout with police, and the death of his brother.

Senator Lindsay Graham wanted that the younger Tsarnaev be treated as an enemy combatant assuming that he had ties to terrorist organizations. That is not clear. The information that has been out in the media is that the older Tsarnaev brother was possibly the one with connections to terrorist groups. That is still unclear.

The week-long nightmare that the city of Boston has been experiencing has come to an end.

The Boston PD is still securing the scene to make sure that there are no live explosives or any dangers to those in the area.

The police found out where Tsarnaev was after the owner of a boat went out to check on it and found blood. She checked, saw a body, and reported it to the police.
