Porn Piracy Scandal Hits Vatican City In Hypocritical Way

Back in 2011, the Vatican told a group of bishops in Germany that they needed to shut down their adult book publishing service. Apparently this was so that the Vatican could move into the adult video service. Well, probably not, but the Vatican appears to have a lot of people who are downloading a lot of very kinky porn involving transsexuals, bondage and lesbians.

This was discovered by Torrent Freak, which analyses file sharing. They noticed a number of pornographic films and clips were being downloaded from the hub in the Vatican City. The Holy See is home to about 800 permanent residents including priests, officials, security, and both Pope Francis I and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.

The writers of Torrent Freak noted that “Over in the Vatican, pirates are having the time of their lives downloading some quite eye-watering media. We spotted some downloads to get pulses racing. It seems that while Vatican dwellers aren’t all that interested in Hollywood movies, they do enjoy adult-related celluloid.”

They also said “There isn’t a commandment that covers these films directly, but some might argue there should be.”

At least some of the porn is in German with one title being loosely translated as “Teen Slave Punishment Games In Dark Basement Workshop”. Another film downloaded was a lesbian film starring trans woman Tiffany Starr.

Some of the porn actresses are none too happy, in part because of the issue of piracy. Starr stated that “It doesn’t change my stand against piracy, but I was pretty excited.” Starr also told the Huffington Post that “Some religious people look down on adult films. I think this sends a message not to be ashamed.” She also hopes that it helps trans people in the long run saying “It might open eyes that things aren’t so cut-and-dried.”

Porn actress Lea Lexis also had some words to say about the Vatican’s porn habit. The bondage star stated that “It’s not for everbody”, but also noted that “[The downloaded files] were torrents, which means they’re stolen movies. They’re not actually bought movies … and that is the bigger surprise.” She went on to say that “[Porn stars] have been judged for our industry and doing what we do, especially by Catholics and Christians. We all know everyone watches porn and this is a statement that really everybody watches porn.”

Lexis, who also scripts her movies, now feels tempted to set a movie in a church now saying “The church environment has always been inspiring for numerous fantasies. The whole idea of individuals having to control their sexual urges to the point where they explode in intense, passionate sex is an absolute turn on.”

There were other, more mainstream movies which were downloaded via torrent.
