Tim Tebow might want to consider a change in career. Perhaps he should consider becoming a minister because it may be difficult for him to find a job as a professional football player. That is correct, Tebow has been cut by the New York Jets.
Tebow had a turbulent time while with the Jets. While with the Denver Broncos, Tebow had a tendency to turn things around while the team was behind, but after his move to the Jets, he earned a reputation of having very little talent with embattled quarterback Mark Sanchez being preferred over Tebow during play.
The Jets drafted Geno Smith in the second round of the NFL Draft.
Jet’s coach Rex Ryan stated “We have a great deal of respect for Tim Tebow. Unfortunately, things did not work out the way we all had hoped. Tim is an extremely hard worker, evident by the shape he came back in this offseason. We wish him the best moving forward.”
NFL.com’s Albert Breer also stated that “Tim Tebow was informed of his release this morning, face-to-face, when he arrived at the Jets facility for workouts.”
Tim Tebow is best known for his evangelical Christianity. He made waves earlier this year for canceling his speaking engagement at First Baptist Church of Dallas, the home of virulently anti-gay Pastor Robert Jeffress.
He then changed over to speaking at Pepperdine University, which is more LGBT friendly. Unfortunately, he also chose to speak at Liberty University, which is heavily anti-LGBT.
Tebow has spoken out against women’s rights in the past and might find it best to just make the move from pro football to evangelical pastor.
