Have to give Jeff 4 Justice props on this one. This was an interesting way of getting back at those who hurt the LGBT Community in California through donating to Prop 8. In truth, many of those who donated to campaigns like Prop 8 did so claiming that they were doing it because of their religious beliefs even though they seemed to forget those same beliefs when it came to helping those in need.
According to Jeff this is how he pulled this off:
I visit their business pretending to be a flower deliver person and show up with a balloon, flowers, and an envelope. Once I meet the donor, I tell them that I was sent to deliver the flowers and balloon and the sender wanted me to record their reaction. I then tell them they cannot get the flowers and balloon until they read the letter in the envelope. The Yes on 8 donors then read the enclosed letter which stated, “I hope you spent as much money donating to help the poor as you wasted on preventing gay and lesbian couples from having the freedom to marry back in 2008. Sincerely, Jeff” After reading the letter the Yes on 8 donors are uninterested in the flowers, balloon, or talking about their Yes on 8 support.
The letter reads
I hope you spent as much money donating to help the poor as you wasted on preventing gay and lesbian couples from having the freedom to marry back in 2008.
He first pranked Jerome Tenney, accountant at Tenney & Co – $20,000 to Yes on 8.
Susan Jones, psychotherapist – $6,000 to Yes on 8. Give her a review online at
Matthew Fowles, tax preparer at Golden Valley Tax Service – $4,000 to Yes on 8.
Brian Jukes, Yuba College Professor – $100 to Yes on 8.
Jeff “also went to the top 2 largest Yes on 8 donor business from Yuba-Sutter but the bosses were not there. Cal Fruit International gave $31,500 and Recycling Industries, Yuba City gave $28,750.”
