Bryan Fischer has a message for all of you listening out there. This is your Army before the repeal of DADT:
And this is your Army after:
Three years after the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, Bryan Fischer is continuing his attacks on allowing lesbians, gays and bisexuals serving openly in the military. Of course, Fischer, who is issues analysis director at the American Family Association, loves attacking President Barack Obama and claiming that Obama wants to “rebuilt from the ground up according to his twisted utopian, socialist, anti-American and anti-Christian vision”
This is, of course, unlike Fischer who wants to rebuild this nation from the ground up to be everything that the Founders rejected when they created the country.
In a post from 31 July, Fischer writes:
It is no secret that President Obama has a visceral dislike of America as founded. He believes that America is incurably, irredeemably racist in its very DNA. In his view, because this defect is a part of our national core, it cannot be fixed. The house must be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up according to his twisted utopian, socialist, anti-American and anti-Christian vision.
If America is to be brought down, our military must be emasculated, neutered, feminized, and weakened beyond repair.
First, homosexuals have been forced into the military against the will of military leaders. Despite the fact that the heads of three of the four branches of the military testified that admitting open homosexuals into the military would compromise recruitment, readiness and retention, Obama did it anyway. He did not force gays into the military in spite of these consequences, he did it because of these consequences. This is what he wants: a military unable to recruit, unready for battle, and unable to retain its finest warriors.
Except for one problem…well, more than one. Recruitment is not down, there hasn’t been a mass exodus from the military, and the only thing hurting military readiness is the Republican’s sequestration cuts.
Additionally, while there were concerns from the then-heads of the military branches, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen adamantly supported it. In fact, more opposition was raised by men like Fischer than was raised by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. What is more, by the time the military had studied the repeal process, the Joint Chiefs of Staff were all ready to implement the repeal of DADT and di so swiftly.
Of course, Fischer is also big on claiming that the military is forcing Christians out. He stated:
Second, as homosexuals are being forced into the military, Christians are being forced out. Again, this is intentional on the part of this president, who has profound sympathies for Islam but none for Christianity. Chaplains are being censored, pro-family groups like AFA are being identified in military training sessions as threats to national security, and Christians who have a problem with open homosexuality are told to find another line of work. Since the more devout a Christian is, the more of a patriot he is, the military is being stripped of both its faith and its patriotism.
This supposed purge of Christians is not happening. A few people have left over their dislike of the repeal of DADT, but most of the people who have been removed from the military have done so because of their inability to keep their mouths shut and have mouthed off to their superiors. There have been several instances where service members have mouthed off or otherwise disrespected the rules of the military and been drummed out or punished. So far, that number appears to be around five.
That is correct. So far as we here have been able to tell, there have been a grand total of five people who have been disciplined or discharged from the military for disrespectfully expressing their views on lesbians, gays and bisexuals serving openly in the military, and all of them violated the military’s codes of conduct and justice.
