One of the most successful and widely used symbols of the gay rights movement is an “Equal sign” (=). It’s origin came from the Human Rights Campaign and is their current logo. It took a bit longer than expected (they aren’t very quick), but the anti-gay group, MassResistance, finally dug up enough brain cells to come up with a simple retort; The Not-Equal Sign(shouldn’t that be un-equal?).
Now, the anti-gay marriage group MassResistance has created their own version, the “not equal” sign, which they are offering as a sticker in exchange for a financial donation, noted GoodAsYou.org…The anti-gay group suggests that folks to stick the “not equal” sticker “on your car between your ‘Impeach Obama’ and ‘NRA‘ stickers,” because opposing gay rights apparently goes with loving guns and hating President Obama.
The MassResistance website(<–right there) explains how people who are interested in opposing gay people can “fight back“:
Tired of having the homosexual “equal” sign always thrown in your face? Stick it back at them — and counter the gay agenda — with MassResistance’s stickers!
But I think one of the more horrifying things on the site is a note next to a picture of a classroom door saying…
It’s particularly good for putting on doors and walls in public schools — or better yet, in the State House!
*blink, blink*…..I’m in shock. The equal sign is a symbol of unity and support. It was never meant as a challenge. We just want peace and to be treated equal to everyone else.
