In a recent episode of Futurama, Apple was the target of the show’s often sarcastic humor when they went after both Twitter and Apple via Mom’s megacorporation which includes the building of robots, delivering packages, and creating apps for a phone installed inside the eye socket. The comparison between Mom and Steve Jobs was rather spot on.

The move by Wynn Resorts comes after Waits was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, specifically marijuana, and Hilton was arrested on felony cocaine possession charges. So far, formal charges have not been filed. Some allegations have surfaced that Hilton was trying to hide the baggy of cocaine powder inside her vagina or flush it on a trip to the bathroom, but that trip to the bathroom was delayed while a female officer was called to the scene. The baggy fell out of her purse when she went for some lip balm.

The two were pulled over because they were leaving a rather wide trail of marijuana smoke behind them as they drove along. A suspected butt of a marijuana cigarette was found in the Cadillac Escalade in which the couple was stopped in front of the Wynn Las Vegas.

Hilton will be arraigned on 27 October for possession of the baggy that contained 0.8 grams of cocaine. She faces probation if convicted.

Waits was driving the car when they were pulled over, and police report that he had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. He failed a balance and walk-and-turn field sobriety test. His attorney, Richard Schonfeld, did say that Waits passed an eye test checking on dilation of his pupils, and that he was concerned that Waits was pulled over without any indication that he was driving impaired or that he had made a traffic infraction. Blood was drawn at the time of his arrest, but results will not be released until the case goes to court. Waits was held overnight before being freed on $2,000 bail.

Lesbians everywhere hated the theme song to the original L Word, but when spinoff The Real L Word premiered, the theme song was cute, fun, pop candy. Leaving lesbians everywhere saying, “Wait…who sings that?”

The group behind the song is Love Darling. They are an indie rock trio out of Hollywood, fronted by queer hottie Shay Magro. Also there are two other guys in the band, if you are into that, Mike Wolpe handles the bass, guitar & keys and Christian Jovanny Trujillo is on drums & percussion. The group is on their second album, the first was Pawnshop Radio ON and their newest is Sunshine Dust.

Let me tell you, Sunshine Dustis hot. In a summer full of disappointing music, Love Darling is giving the music world a piping hot injection of awesome. The band has said that their influence includes Smashing Pumpkins and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and that is evident in their music. They are hard enough to be rock and soft enough to appeal to the mainstream. Sunshine Dust delivers music that is repetitive enough to be catchy without the mindless repetition that plagues most of today’s music. The band’s lyrics are original and relatable without becoming mushy or pretentious. Shay Magro has a sultry voice with an edge. She sounds a little like Kiyomi from Hunter Valentine, but smoother and softer. If you love Hunter Valentine, you can’t miss Love Darling.

The first single is This Time, it’s a solid offering from the album and represents the band’s trademark style. A lot of the time, a band will suck you in with one song and then once you hear the rest of the album, it’s a big let down. However, those who purchase the entire album won’t be disappointed, This Time is not the best song Sunshine Dust has to offer. Other strong titles are Cadence, Close to Me, On the Line and my personal favorite, Forget This Part.

Singer/Songwriter Jewel has a new album to shill, so she went on Chelsea Lately to try and let someone who cares know. No, I don’t care about her music and chances are you haven’t cared since “Foolish Games” came out. “Why are you being so hard on, Jewel?” You are probably asking yourself. I know, I know, I never thought I would be lambasting Jewel either. I mean Jewel? Who cares!

Well, so she was blabbering about her album and about how she and her husband are backpacking around the country when she decided to tell the world that while she travels with her husband, she wears “lesbian shoes.” You know, like “ugly comfortable lesbian shoes.” Because lesbians wear ugly shoes.  Girl, don’t insult my shoes. You don’t know me. I’m assuming that Jewel isn’t referring to lesbian shoes such as these pink, peeptoe, hidden platform Christian Louboutins that I have been wearing all summer. Because those would be a bitch to travel in.

According to her, “I don’t care what anyone says. I know that I’m a damn good actress.… And I know that in my past I was young and irresponsible — but that’s what growing up is. Like many girls growing up, she looked up to many of the women in the tabloids. She says “I would look up to those girls. . .the Britneys and whatever, and I would be like, I want to be like that.”

Regarding her father, Lohan stated “I think my biggest focus for myself is learning how to continue to get through the trauma that my father has caused in my life.” She also talks about feeling heartbroken because of her sister’s attendance in court and seeing her sister crying.

Lohan has a lot on her plate including five twelve-step program meetings, two psychotherapy sessions and two behavioral therapy sessions a week. She will also be working on rebuilding her career. Her next film, Machete, comes out on Friday. So far, reviews on that have been lackluster, but not because of her acting.

“I want my career back. I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It’s not fun anyway.” October’s Vanity Fair goes on sale the end of this week.

According to one source quoted by Showbiz Spy, “That’s why the first thing she asked the cops in Vegas was to use the bathroom. . .She knew it would be her only chance to hide the cocaine and avoid arrest. The source, who claims to be a friend of Hilton’s, also detailed that the socialite often stashed drugs inside her vagina using lubricated condoms in order to elude airport security. It is an old smuggler’s trick, as is coating the drugs with a particular substance and swallowing them.

Hilton apparently asked to be allowed to go into the Wynn Las Vegas resort after her boyfriend Cy Waits, a Las Vegas nightclub mogul, failed a field sobriety test. According to Lt. Flynn, Hilton denied owning a small plastic “bindle” which contained just under a gram of cocaine powder. The “bindle” fell out of Hilton’s purse when she went to get a tube of lip balm.

Flynn wrote in his report “Hilton said she needed to put some lip balm on, and I handed her the purse from the table. She began to open it, I saw a small bindle of what I believed to be cocaine in clear plastic baggy begin to fall from the purse and into my hand.”

According to Flynn’s report “Hilton admitted the Albuterol … was hers and is prescribed to her, but the suspected cocaine was not. I asked Hilton whose cocaine it was, and she said she had not seen it but now thought it was gum.”

Hilton’s laywer, David Chesnoff, said “as previously stated, the facts of the situation will be tested in a courtroom.” The felony charge that she faces would get her only probation if convicted, but one to four years in a Nevada prison if she broke that probation. She spent less than three hours in jail before being released without bail. Waits faces only a misdemeanor for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He spent the night in jail before being released on $2,000 bail.

Waits is a managing partner of several nightclubs at Wynn’s Encore Resort and of Drai’s after hours club at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon. Some hundred people were there snapping pictures of Hilton and the police officer.

Unfortunately, the actress had to cut her stay short.  She flew back to American on Friday after finding out that her mother, Emma, had a stroke.  Goldberg has the support of the producers of her show who stated “the thoughts and sincere best wishes of the producers and the entire Sister Act company are with her at this difficult time.”

Goldberg has always credited her mother’s advice as to why she has been such a success.

According to Las Vegas police spokesman Marcus Martin, “Officers noticed a vehicle leaving [a] smoke trail of a controlled substance [and] made a stop based on that.” Hilton and her friend must have been really lighting up the joints. Perhaps they were trying to fend off a squad of Roman soldiers trying to catch them. During the stop, they also noticed what appeared to be a drug on Hilton herself and tests later showed that it was cocaine. One has to wonder why she was covered in cocaine. Somehow it is doubtful that it was from her rolling around in a pool of money since no one outside of cartoons actually does that.

On lookers and other people gathered around the traffic stop out of curiosity. This being Las Vegas, a bit of street theater is always welcome.

According to Police Watch Commander Lieutenant Wayne Holman, Hilton was being held until morning when she would be released on her own recognizance. Hilton’s manager and publicist, so far, is being silent. The police have not released the name of the man arrested with Hilton.

This summer, Hilton was arrested after the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The charges of marijuana possession were later dropped. Some Americans might say that one needs to be high to watch soccer though there are undoubtably many Europeans who feel that is more true of baseball.

In 2007, she spent twenty-three days in jail on alcohol-related reckless driving charges.

Of course, at this point, about the only way to shock the majority of the American public is to do something which would be considered to be a legal offense. Most Americans have seen just about everything, though do not be surprised if there are some people with delicate sensibilities who will think that anything that Spears does is shocking. Though, the photo shoot might be shocking if it involves her wearing a nun’s habit and not being sexy at all.

They’re continuing to discuss details about the big day and are determined to ensure it is the wedding of the century.”

Lohan went into jail on 20 July, but stayed there for roughly fourteen days, and then was in rehab for less than a month.  She is now suppose to be in an intensive out patient rehab program, but some of her friends are worried that she will not be able to keep to it.  One source told People Magazine “Lindsay says she’s determine to stay sober and focus on work, [but] it’s too soon to tell what will happen.  We’ve seen these moments of ‘purity’ before, but as soon as she gets a taste of the nightlife and the drama, she usually falls back into old habits fast.”

In fact, after getting her licence reinstated, she was seen hitting the town in a rented Maserati, a Red Bull in her hand and picking up friends at 12:30 am.

Still no word if Robert Downey Jr., who went through this in his youth, will be paying her a visit any time soon.  A visit would help, but it seems unlikely.

Hasselbeck has also begun to show a change in her social beliefs. According to Hasselbeck “I think there are a lot of, maybe, conservatives out there who are talking about gay marriage and not necessarily with someone who wants to have gay marriage or has been in a gay marriage. You know, I had Melissa Etheridge over, we had dinner, we talked for hours about gay marriage, and I would really challenge people: Get out there. Instead of just talking about it and hating on it, actually talk to someone who’s loved someone else and have the conversation about what can be done.”

Hasselbeck also revealed recently that she has become uncertain about the issue of abortion. She said “I am a person that does believe that life begins at conception, but I also don’t believe that the government should tell women what to do with their bodies.” In this, she would mirror many Americans who believe that abortion should be legal, but would not have an abortion themselves.

It has been said that the more people know lesbians and gays, the more they are supportive of LGBT rights.

Jolie and Pitt are raising six children together, three of them their biological children.  Previously, Jolie was married to Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.

Regarding her and Pitt’s relationship, she stated “We push each other to be better, even if it’s just a better bike rider or a better pilot.  We’re constantly in competition.”  Regarding flying “There is nothing freer than flying and looking down on the world. It’s the only place I am totally alone. I learned to fly in England and have had my pilot’s license for a few years – Brad flies, too.”

Jolie has plans to write and direct her own film in the near future.  The couple has been in the tabloids repeatedly since the two became a couple, often with people going after Jolie for ‘stealing’ Pitt away from Jennifer Anniston.  Speculation has endured regarding Anniston’s sexuality, however.  Jolie has admitted to being bisexual and having had at least one girlfriend.

One of Jolie’s earliest roles was in the video for the Meat Loaf song “Rock ‘n’ Roll Dreams Come Through”.

In an open letter to Hasselbeck, Peter LaBarbera attacked her saying that she had abandoned her conservative and Christian principles. He also stated “caving on same-sex marriage only hurts your credibility.” Of course, he went on to perpetuate the whole idea that someone can be ‘ex-gay’ by stating “there are many ex-gay men and former lesbians who have overcome homosexuality in their lives.” Unfortunately, neither he nor anyone else associated with the ex-gay movement has ever been able to provide more than a few individuals who have ‘overcome homosexuality’ long term. In fact, there are far more ex-ex-gay men than there are ex-gay men.

The Souther Poverty Law Center labeled AFTAH as a hate group earlier this year on grounds that it spread discredited and slanderous propaganda, including conversion therapy, aka ‘the ex-gay movement.’

AFTAH and the American Family Association have both gone after Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck for their support of LGBT issues. Recently, Coulter agreed to speak before GOProud, and Glenn Beck stated that same-sex marriage was not an issue because he thinks “we have bigger fish to fry.”

Some younger Conservatives may be finally realizing that they have to start supporting the LGBT Community, but as evidenced by a large swath of the Tea Party movement, not all Conservatives, young or old, are starting to warm to LGBT issues.

Recently, Coulter was ‘fired’ from WND’s “Taking Back America” conference, which Farah seems to want to keep just for bigots only, because she decided to take a speaking fee from GOProud, which is a Republican and Conservative LGBT group much maligned by many of the people on the Left and the Right, and certainly by many people after they compared Coulter to Judy Garland. Farah pulled her speaking engagement because he was concerned about her appearing at GOProud’s HomoCon 2010 (not to be confused with the furry gathering AnthroCon) because he felt that she was supporting the idea that “sodomy is just an alternate lifestyle.” You know, like. . .what IS an alternate lifestyle anyway?

Coulter fired back calling Farah a ‘swine’ and a ‘publicity whore’ and WND ‘fake Christians’.

Appearing on Sirius’ gay themed channel, OutQ, Farah stated “This is my beef with conservatism: it’s always losing ground. That’s why I don’t consider myself a conservative.” One has to wonder what he does consider himself, a blancmange, perhaps, or a coatrack, or perhaps a programable toaster oven? He certainly comes off as being from the Paleolithic era.

Then he had to defend his appearance on a gay hosted and LGBT themed radio channel, and in this email, he went on to say “Talking to homosexuals and engaging them on the issues of the day is one thing. Accepting paid speaking assignments from homosexual activist lobbying groups promoting same-sex marriage, open homosexuality in the U.S. military ranks and hate crimes legislation is quite different…I [do not] believe GOProud has a conservative agenda at all on taxes, health care and the role of government. GOProud is, as its chairman has stated, 100 percent about the promotion of a radical, anti-American, anti-freedom homosexual agenda.”

Well, anti-freedom. Talk about your nice rationales. Thus, the United States must restrict the freedoms of its lesbian, gay and transgender citizens in order to make sure that other citizens still have the right to beat, rape, torture, murder, verbally assault, destroy the property of people who are lesbian, gay or transgender. If one were to say that the United States must restrict the freedoms of Blacks, Jews, Hispanics or any other group for that reasoning, they would be thought of as racist and antisemitic. Of course, men like Farah tend to be racist, homophobic and antisemitic at the same time. They just prefer to hide the other prejudices.

Her release from the rehab program at Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center came after she spent fourteen days in jail for violating her probation stemming from a 2007 drug case.

Lohan is 24 years old, and only about three years away from the fabled 27 Club, a listing of musicians who have died at the age of 27. The list includes Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Kurt Kobain.

The judge needs to investigate certain legal matters which stem from a 2007 conviction and to investigate whether or not prescription sedative may have had on Michael’s behavior. He was warned that he could face jail time.

Almost 50 at the time, back in In 2007 tennis great Martina Navratilova signed with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) as the group’s Health & Fitness ambassador.  Navratilova continues in this capacity, where she makes appearances at AARP events and offers online tips for AARP members on things like diet and fitness for the senior (that word?) crowd.

Navratilova, has won 59 grand slam tennis titles (the last one six weeks shy of her 50th birthday). Martina has been named “Tour Player of the Year” by the Women’s Tennis Association, “Female Athlete of the Year” by the Associated Press, and one of the “Top 40 Athletes of All Time” by Sports Illustrated.

“Because I’m in my 50s, I’m very concerned about flexibility. I know how much it helps me recover from tough matches or workouts and prepare for exercise the next day. Elisabeth Hasslebeck…the thorn in the LGBT side of otherwise liberal talkshow, The View.Recently the conservative lady caused a stir by saying that ‘later in life’ lesbians were only gay because they couldn’t get men. Last year, she antagonized America’s lesbian sweetheart, Portia DeGeneres, nee De Rossi over same sex marriage. She has also angered Melissa Etheridge over her stance on Prop 8. Let’s not even GO into her feud with Rosie O’Donnell or Kathy Griffin. However, it seems like Hasslebeck is singing a new tune.. a showtune.

In an interview with Fancast, Hasslebeck tries to change her image.

What are some common misperceptions about you?

Oh, gosh, there are so many. They’re really funny. One is that I’m a super neat-freak conservative [and] perfect, like, a Stepford wife. [Laughs] I mean, there are times I wish for that sort of organization and natural tendency to have this perfect home. And without Tim, my husband, who is naturally neat, organized and has everything in order, I tend towards disaster. [Also] I am not ultra-ultra-conservative on every issue. I actually support gay marriage.

That may be an opinion that would surprise people.

I think the gay marriage thing would definitely surprise people. I mean, for some people, it will surprise them to the point that they won’t want to hear it. “No, that can’t be, I really want to have this sort of idea of her in my head,” so I sort of rain on their parade there. I am a person that does believe that life begins at conception, but I also don’t believe that the government should tell women what to do with their bodies. So I’m torn there in terms of supporting laws [for or against abortion]. I always say I would rather change a heart than a law. I think it has to start there. Always trying to mandate, mandate, mandate this or that is not the way that I believe this country should run.

While Elisabeth supports same-sex marriage, it’s clear she doesn’t know too much about it. Educated supporters usually refer to it as same-sex marriage or marriage equality. But that’s ok, baby steps rights? Elisabeth doesn’t say so, but there is no way she has always been pro marriage equality. This is most likely a recent revelation and I hope that maybe it helps to open her eyes and lead her down a path of acceptance of others.

Also, I lied. Of COURSE we will talk about her feuds with Rosie and Kathy! She addresses the issue unsatisfactorily in the interview:

The heated, emotional on-air argument you had with Rosie O’Donnell in May 2007 may have been the most dramatic of all the moments we might group together as “The Tales of Elisabeth.” Was that your worst experience, or the worst period of time for you, at ‘The View?’

I won’t talk too much about that subject only because I believe that it feeds what people tend to go back to, and it wasn’t the most incredible moment, it wasn’t the most dramatic moment, it wasn’t the most, you know, life-changing moment for anybody involved. And that moment, even in of itself, didn’t define the entire season with Rosie. Actually, I truly enjoyed that [season] and I think … there was a friendship there. But I’ll leave it at that. That moment wasn’t as horrific as everyone likes to make it out to be.

What about Kathy Griffin? Would you like to take this opportunity to clarify what you said about her when you criticized her this summer for suggesting that the daughters of Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown were prostitutes? You used the word “scum” in talking about Kathy. Is that what you meant to say?

I believe I asked Joy [Behar], “If somebody called your daughter a prostitute, what would you think of them? I’d call them scum.” So I was actually saying, if anybody called your daughter that, I’d say they’re scum. It’s laughable to me that I’m the bad guy for calling someone out for calling someone’s daughter a prostitute when they’re not. Maybe there are a few people on earth who haven’t hurt someone. We’ve all been there, we’ve all hurt someone’s feelings, we’ve all done something wrong. There’s a difference between doing it unintentionally and doing it intentionally time and time again. That’s all I’ll say.

David Bowie has put the kibosh on the queerest, most genderbending union ever. Recently, rumors flew that Lady Gaga and Bowie would be dueting on her newest album, the one that she is sure will be better than any of her previous work. For some reason, Bowie or his reps do not want to lend credence to these rumors and are attempting to separate Bowie from Gaga.

Bowie’s website reads: “[I]n a nutshell, the suggestion that David Bowie is producing and participating in the production of Lady Gaga’s next album is untrue and a hoax.”

Dude…working with Gaga would have been better for your career, not worse. Maybe Bowie just has no intention of working again? If I was Bowie, I would be begging to work with Gaga. Show me anyone under 25 who has even heard one of his songs…

TMZ caught up with lesbian DJ Samantha Ronson this weekend and asked her about how she felt about Tila Tequila being attacked at the ‘Gathering of the Juggalos’ this weekend. For those of you who missed it, Tila took off her top on stage and was pelted with beer bottles, rocks and human feces. Ronson said of the attack, “Karma’s a bitch…I really fucking hate her…I laughed when I saw the tape…I will fucking talk shit about her on this camera…I really fucking hate her so much…Doesn’t everybody?”

Niiice. I’m a big Samantha fan, but that’s not cool. It’s true that Tila exploits lesbianism, especially her stunt with Casey Johnson, the troubled lesbian heiress who died shortly after announcing her engagement to Tila Tequila. Hollywood’s young elite females were all on the opposite side of Tequila after Johnson’s death, when Tequila used it to garner attention and fame for herself. That may be where Ronson’s enimity towards her comes from…but Tila doesn’t deserve to be attacked. Tila was left with a bloody and bruised face after the attack.

Just as photo’s emerged last week confirming the rumors of Queen Latifah’s romance with personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins, photos of Latifah with another woman have surfaced.

Mediatakeout.com has pictures of the Queen getting comfy with a woman who is decidedly not Jenkins. The pictures show the women walking arm in arm, eating off the same plate at a restaurant, and putting their arms around each other.

Nooooo! Sexy tattoo artist and reality tv star Kat Von D reportedly went on a dinner date with prejudiced cheater Jesse James. People has the details of the dinner. The two were together in Vegas. People reports:

Palms Casino Resort’s N9NE, the duo didn’t bother spreading out in the oversized booth, but got cozy by sitting right next to each other.

The two shared the restaurant’s signature rock shrimp and classic Caesar salad. They also both enjoyed the filet with a side of asparagus, and drank Fiji water with dinner.

Toward the end of the meal, the duo were spotted holding hands.

They continued holding hands as they left dinner and headed to a black Mercedes that James was driving. [Source]

Until recently, Kat Von D has been dating Nikki Six. I’ve always loved Kat’s kick ass, yet zen attitude. She reminds me of P!nk, just a really cool, gay-faced straight girl. She has always been so chill, why would she hang out with this douche bag????

Lady Gaga has been pushing her newest album hard, calling it the ‘greatest work’ she has ever done. She went on to say:

The message, the melodies, the direction, the meaning, what it will mean to my fans and what it will mean to me in my own life. … I’m on the quest to create the anthem for my generation for the next decade, so that’s what I’ve done.”

Gaga has a stellar line-up for the album. It has leaked online that she is performing a duet with David Bowie. She is also said to be working with all-star producers, such as Darkchild, Teddy Riley, Fernando Garibay, Rodney Jerkins and RedOne. Gaga has worked with RedOne extensively, so she will be able to keep her signature sound, while switching it up by working with other hit-makers.

Tila Tequila is a train wreck, but she doesn’t deserve to be assaulted. While standing on-stage at at jug (concert?) competition? Tila took her top off for the crowd and was pelted by bottles, rocks and even poop. Tila Tequila is gross but these people are even grosser. Tila has discussed the incident on her twitter page, saying:

Go to www.tmz.com violence against women like myself or anyone for that matter is not ok! Lawsuit is pending. 

Pretty soon the owners who run the Juggalos will be bankrupt. My attorney Alan is already on it. This is disgusting behavior from men.

Don’t believe she was assaulted? Even CNN is reporting that sources say Tila was ‘taunting the crowd’ and ‘got what she deserved,’ but the attack was pretty brutal. Especially considering that Tila is about five feet tall and must weigh about 80 pounds. Watch the video below:

David is, of course, David Burtka, Harris’ long time partner.  Burtka is also a chef and actor.  He did a guest stint on Harris’ show “How I Met Your Mother”.  Harris recently directed a production of Rent at the Hollywood Bowl.  The two are expecting the twins via a surrogate mother.

The couple have started putting together a baby shower, and they may be celebrating Harris’ winning of up to three Emmys this month.  Speculation over the surrogate pregnancy had been swirling for some time, as last year the couple, who has been together for six years, were seen visiting a surrogacy agency in LA.  The twins are expected in October.

Rachel Maddow bought a new NYC apartment for her and partner, Susan Mikula. The two bedroom apartment is on Jane Street and overlooks the Hudson river. The cost? A mere 1.25 million dollars. Maddow bought the place from REM frontman, fellow gay and notorious bad tipper, Michael Stipe.  Maddow and Mikula can only be found in the city during the week, they leave for their Massachusetts home every weekend.

Girl Power singer Alanis Morissette is preggo! The former bisexual experimenter remarried after ex-fiance Ryan Reynolds married Scarlett Johansen. Which had to hurt, even if you are as well adjusted as Morissette. Morissette moved on and married rapper Mario ’Souleye’ Treadway in May.  Treadway is six years younger than Morissette, which just reinforces her awesomeness.

Morissette confirmed her pregnancy to US Weekly in their “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me” section.

Congrats to the happy couple!

Maybe after the baby is born, Alanis will consider returning to Weeds. One can only hope.

If the show comes back for a second season, they should consider having more scenes of the women just hanging out together and having a good time instead of screwing their love interests over.

Natalie is tagged in the pic, even though she isn’t shown. Also, Mikey isn’t in the picture. She’s fucking working really fucking hard and that’s probably why she couldn’t make it.

Fortune Feimster is generating a lot of buzz. The out lesbian who has a vlog on Afterellen.com made it to the semi-finals of the popuar NBC show, ‘Last Comic Standing.’ Fortune opened up to me in the August Issue of GAY e-magazine. She shared some of her thoughts on the show:

GAY:  Hi Fortune. Congratulations on appearing on Last Comic Standing! Being on the show has made you very visible, very quickly. How has that affected you?

FF:     Well, I don’t want to brag or anything but my You Tube page went from 190 subscribers to 230. I kid.  The biggest change is that I am starting to get recognized every now and then.  I’ll be walking down the street and someone will randomly yell out, “Hey comic!”  (True story, by the way). I also got hundreds of emails from people all over the US so it’s been great to have that support. 

GAY:  There is always a ton of criticism about reality TV shows not being “real” enough. How real is Last Comic Standing?

FF:     I don’t know how real it was in past seasons because they focused more on the reality TV part than they did the comedy, but this year they really revamped the show.   Now it’s about being a good comic and telling solid jokes, which is nice, because you sign up hoping that people will get to see an accurate portrayal of your comedy.  The only thing they do editing-wise is shorten your sets but that’s just because they have to show so many comedians.

GAY:  Is judge Natasha Leggero as hot in person as she is on television?

FF:    Haha!  I should have known there would be a question about the lady judge.  Yes, Natasha is just as hot in person so ladies be sure to check out one of her shows because she’s funny too.

Portia DeRossi and Ellen were married in 2008. The two kept their own names at the time, probably because it’s a hassle to change your name and as actresses, their names are an important part of their professional identity. However, love has won out over practicality and Portia DeRossi has decided to become a DeGeneres! Portia filed the papers to legally change her name last Friday in LA Superior Court. In the petition under ‘reason for name change’ she wrote, “Petitioner is taking the last name of her spouse.”  Awwwww. Hollywood marriages have a tendency to fall apart, but I hope these ladies can make it last forever!

Hello Lovlies, welcome to the penultimate episode of season 1 of The Real L Word. The season is winding down and producers have run out of questions to ask the ladies in their little pre-show interviews. Today’s question is either, “Do you cry during sex?” or “What do you do when a woman cries during sex?” Nikki admits that the first time she had sex with a woman, she cried. Which made sense since she was married and came out later in life, so okay. Next Rose says that she has had women cry on her after sex, and she doesn’t know what to do. Mikey doesn’t know what to do either, “Why are they crying? It’s supposed to be a happy moment”. Whitney asks “what the fuck kind of question is that? I should ask you that.” Tracy says she didn’t cry the first time she had sex with a woman, she had a big smile on her face. Nikki and Jill say that Jill cries during sex. Then Whitney gets asked if she cries when she comes and she says no and probably says to the male crew member and producer taping this, “Do guys cry when they come? Is that why they keep tissues by the bed? I thought it was for something else!” Cue theme song.

   We wake up at the Apartment of Harsh Truths, where Natalie is crying over Rose and everyone is telling her to get away from Toxic Rose. Cut to Rose in her car, who is going to ‘meet’ and by meet, I mean harass, Angel, her ex. Rose has said in the past that her relationship with Angel was crazy and that she had to get a restraining order against her. So I was expecting Angel to be huge and crazy, meanwhile Angel is a pretty, thin girl, who speaks well and sounds a lot like Natalie. Angel points out that Rose and her had a toxic relationship and that Rose cheated on her a lot. Rose says but we said we would always be there for reach other. Angel says she would be there for Rose whenever something happened to her grandmother, but her grandmother is fine now. Rose says “and you’re still here,” basically trying to get back together with Angel, since she believes that Natalie is “not supportive enough” and “didn’t like the way Natalie handled the grandmother situation.” Angel brings Rose down to reality and says, “No, I’m not still here.” She calls Rose out on moving on really fast after their relationship, calls Natalie a rebound, says Rose can’t be alone and that she will never change. Rose pushes her legs up against Angel’s under the table. They walk out to Angel’s car. Angel wants to know what Rose wants and why she’s messing with her not that Angel has finally started moving on and that Rose always does this. She calls Rose out and says “it’s always about you and what you want. Go do what you do best and go back and tell your girlfriend that you just needed closure and go back to being bored with her. I know this line.” Ouch. Angel’s a smart girl. Hopefully once Natalie see’s this episode she will kick Rose to the curb.

At Whitney’s place, her and Alyssa are trying to figure out how to get rid of the creamed corn and lube pool without getting it all over the backyard. Only, Whit is hung over or sick or something. (“You might be white trash if you get trashed and have sex during a party you are hosting”) so Alyssa tells her to go relax. Alyssa says that aside from Whit’s sister and mother, she is the only one who takes care of Whit, so she holds Whitney to a higher standard when it comes to messing around with Alyssa’s family members. Tor, in an interview, says that after the White Trash Party, Whitney told her that Romi raped her. Which is really not cool, rape isn’t a word you throw around. Maybe Whitney was kidding…anyway Tor didn’t buy it because she’s not that dumb and Romi doesn’t get to comment because she has no idea she’s a rapist. “You might be white trash if you have sex with someone and then accuse them of rape,” wasn’t that a subplot in To Kill A Mockingbird? Anyway, Alyssa admits that she will always forgive Whitney and console her, even though she continually hurts Tor.

At Chez Nikki & Jill, they whine and cry over venues. But then Nikki bullies Jill and gets her way and they will get married at the crazy, ultra expensive house Nikki fell in love with. Yay! Their scene is over.

Mikey is riding her bike to fashionweek, because she’s a badass like that. The tent is up in the studio parking lot. Mikey is psyched bc this is her biggest fashion week production ever. She goes around and thanks the crew personally.

At Stamie’s shack o’ children, where we actually haven’t seen children in awhile, Stamie tells Tracy that she thanks her mom’s uterus everyday for giving her Tracy. Which is actually kind of funny and not too creepy, although it is a little gross. I met a hot fan of Stamie’s who goes to her comedy show every week and loves it, so I will give Stamie a little more benefit of the doubt. There is a Victoria Secret bag on the table and I bet Tracy looks great in whatever is inside it. Then they talk about Stamie’s parents accepting her and Tracy’s mom not accepting her and blah blah blah. Stamie and Tracy are so family oriented that now I understand their relationship a little better. It only took me all season.

Rose is leaving her house to go pick up Natalie, who is staying at her mom’s, to beg Nat to come back to her. She says “I will probably have to do some Oscar award winning acting.” Dude, if you don’t like Natalie then leave her alone. Why do you even want her to come back? Oh right, so you have someone to have sex with that you can use as a punching bag. Nice. Rose rolls up to Nat’s mom’s house and Nat actually lets her in. Natalie isn’t wearing makeup and looks as if she has been awake for days crying, basically, she looks really, really different. The first thing Natalie does is ask about her grandma. Rose admits Grandma is fine, but she doesn’t admit that Angel knew grandma was fine way before Natalie did. Natalie asks what they are going to do about…this. ‘This’ being their awful, painful to watch, trainwreck of a relationship. Nat calls Rose out on having said that she was going to go be with Angel, Rose denies that she said that. Rose took that Shaggy song, “It Wasn’t Me” way to literally. We all know it was you, Rose! If Natalie doesn’t know now, she will because there are CAMERAS that FOLLOW YOU EVERYWHERE! Despite ever y lesbian watching this show screaming, “Don’t do it, Natalie!” The girls make-up and Natalie goes home with Rose.  

Back at Whit’s place, she has fully recovered from whatever it was that was ailing her and is her cheerful self. She reminds Alyssa that they need to haul the lube/creamed corn mixture out of the backyard. They need to sneak it to a dumpster they aren’t allowed to use. Showtime plays “moron” music as the two put the pool into a leaking trash bag. Instead of double bagging it, they drag the leaking bag through their backyard to the front of the house, where they have a shopping cart. Like a shopping cart from a store…as in “you might be white trash if you have a shopping cart in your front yard.” Alyssa starts throwing up and dry heaving because of the smell and the leakage, so Whit bravely does most of it by herself. Then they two wheel the leaking trash bag to the dumpster, “Time for Lube wheelin!” The girls leave the shopping cart by the dumpster and run. Too bad there is a trail of lube that leads from their house to the dumpster. Hopefully no one will investigate. I like Whitney when she’s not breaking people’s hearts and then accusing them of rape.

In Mikey’s fucking showroom, Heather Locklear and her offspring are there. Offspring will be walking in her father’s show for his fashion line, “White Trash Beautiful” and Mikey has a kind model on-hand to show the fourteen year old how to walk, while Heather Locklear flirts with Mikey in the corner. Like seriously, Heather fucking Locklear is fucking flirting with fucking Mikey. At one point, Offspring gives the ladies a look like…what the f? Then Raquel busts in with balloons and a rose and hugs Mikey and Heather looks a little pissed. But then she recovers when she is introduced to Raquel. Also, Heather Locklear did something to her face, because she looks really puffy and her skin is really tight. As Heather leaves, Mikey looks longingly at the door and Raquel hugs her and gives her airkisses.  

Whitney and Scarlett are having lunch and talking about how Sara is living in LA somewhere. Whit calls Romi and Tor dramatic and now she has decided that Sara is the chosen one. Poor Tor, she’s such a cute baby koala. She tells Scarlett that Sara is going with them to Dinah Shore and that she has to tell Romi. Scarlett is friends with Romi so she wants Whit to end things with Romi and “zip it up”, since Whit wants to be with Sara. Whit says she will.

 Tracy’s mom calls her and says she can’t come, but really she is standing outside her door! Yay! The two talk. Her mom, Zory, explains that is Tracy was a mother, she would understand why Zory isn’t happy about Tracy being gay. Then she says she will think about meeting Stamie, but she can’t see them hold hands or kiss because that would be too much for her. Ouch. Holding hands is too hard for her to watch? After five years of knowing her daughter is gay? Zory says, “baby steps” but the baby is already in kindergarten and running around the playground. Tracy is taking Zory to Stamie’s comedy show, which is a HUGE mistake and not fair to either lady.

Nikki and Jill are taking their first dance lesson. They are both anxious because neither of them is good at dancing. The instructor starts off teaching them a box step, Jill thinks it’s ridiculous that they are such beginners and need to start off with a box step. She says “how was I absent that day when they taught that in gym class?” Apparently Jill went to high school in the 1920s. I think the rest of us learned how to play dodgeball. Jill says the idea of two women slow dancing “feels strange to me, I can’t put my finger on it.” It’s because Jill isn’t gay. In their duo interview, Nikki says that they do not have the dance gene. Jill keeps opening her mouth to object, but Nikki doesn’t let her get the words out. But you want to know what Jill was going to say, “I can dance with men, just not with women!” That was what she’s trying to say…because she’s NOT GAY. Nikki is all like “two women dancing is just so gay.” I don’t know what that means. I don’t think two women dancing is “gay” or “strange” but I do think it’s gross watching those two little starving beanpoles rub themselves together on the dance floor. Maybe they should go taste some wedding cakes or something. The two leave the dancing lesson and decide never to go back.  

Tracy is taking her mom to Stamie’s comedy show. Stamie doesn’t even know her mom is in town and Tracy knows that Stamie get’s nervous before her shows. Tracy says Stamie spends four hours getting ready for the show. She calls Stamie on speaker without telling her that mom is in the car. Luckily, Stamie doesn’t make any lewd jokes. But because Zory won’t speak into the phone, Stamie doesn’t believe that Tracy is really bringing her mom to the show.

Rose is at her grandmother’s house, so is Rose’s mom. Rose’s grandmother and aunt beg Rose to apologize to her mom. Rose does and swallows her pride even as her mom says “I forgive you for all the hurt you caused.” Considering that Rose went to live with her grandmother when she was a child means that she should be the one apologizing to Rose. It’s sad and gives some insight as to why Rose acts like a jerk sometimes. Her mom seems really selfish.  

So Tracy arrives at the comedy club/coffee house with Zory and Stamie is surprised and uncomfortable. For once, Stamie is speechless. Probably because she knows she is going to talk about ex-girlfriends, puppetry of the penis, cuntfaces, and penis size. Tracy didn’t give her mom a heads up about Stamie’s comedy and Zory is disgusted. It’s also unfair, because that’s not really who Stamie is. Stamie is very family oriented and if Tracy had introduced them in a different way, I do think things would have gone better. Tracy realized that now that it’s over and too late to change.

Fashion week is here! Mikey’s event is starting and everything is going great…until the lights in front of the red carpet go out and no one can get their pictures taken on the red carpet. Mikey’s electrician sucks and she runs in her sunglasses, in the dark of night, and eventually fixes it herself and the celebrities can get their picture taken.

Tracy has invited her sisters, mom and Stamie over for dinner. Stamie is going to find it hard not to hold Stamie’s hand or show her any affection in front of her mom. In typical creepy Stamie fashion, she make a joke about scissoring Tracy in front of her mom. Tracy thinks that is her mom could meet Stamie’s kids, everything will be ok, because she will see that Tracy can still have the American Dream.

Whitney and Romi are on a date. Whit says she is there to be honest about her motives. She tells Romi that Sara is moving to LA. Romi seems a little pissed, she’s also wearing an orange dress and isn’t as hot as usual. Whitney is being vague about her relationship with Sara. Romi and Whit say that they have gotten to the point where they can all be friends. Whit says in her interview that she should end things with Romi, that she should end things with somebody! Then she tells Romi that she wants to have a baby. Romi laughs harder than the comment calls for and says “That’s why I love you…cuz why not?” and it’s awkward. Whit is feeding Romi a line of BS, saying she’s very maternal. Whitney says she will get Romi pregnant at Dinah, Romi says “me and a lot of other people.” So maybe the girl finally gets it. Whitney says “The truth will be revealed at Dinah Shore,” ah prescient Whitney, she must be able to read creamed corn lube the way the gypsies of old used to read bird entrails and tea leaves.

At Fashion week, Heather Locklear, Nikki Lund and Mena Suvari are on the red carpet. Mena calls Mikey out on wearing sunglasses at night, indoors, by asking her if she is hung over. Mikey says…”ooo it’s so bright in here.” Madeline Zima, from the Nanny, is also there. Just wanted to make sure you guys didn’t miss that. The White Trash Beautiful show runs smoothly, Heather’s daughter walks well and Mikey makes sure to announce her so that people know to be appropriately excited. Richie Sambora isn’t at the show to watch his daughter, which is too bad. She did well and the clothes are actually pretty awesome. First night of fashion week is over!

At Tracy’s dinner party from hell, Stamie is honoring Zory’s request of not showing Tracy affection. Tracy’s bitchy sister is back. They are sitting at the table and Stamie is being quiet and respectful. Tracy asks Zory if she wants to meet Stamie’s kids. Zory says no. Tracy’s gay friendly sister Audra shows up. Stamie says that not wanting to meet her kids is kind of the last straw for her with Zory. Zory is bringing her back to a time where she was uncomfortable and ashamed of herself and she doesn’t need that in her life, she’s a mother now and she feels like her kids are being slighted. But she goes back to the dinner table and jokes around, respectfully with Tracy’s clan.

It’sday two of Fashion week and Mikey’s final show. It’s a huge event. All the girls are going, they were obviously invited by Showtime, but Whit & Rose were invited by Mikey, Tracy and Stamie invited by Whitney and Nikki and Jill are just there and don’t talk to any of the ladies. Mikey is holding the show for Raquel, who is running late. Raquel finally makes it and they can start the show. She looks great but she is wearing a lot of blush, like she got caught in a fight with a kabuki brush. The show goes off without a hitch, Mikey gets on stage to close fashion week. But instead of closing the show, she calls Raquel onto the stage and gets down on one knee! She proposes to Raquel, but can’t see her finger because she is wearing sunglasses. Juuust kidding, the two get engaged! Yay! Whitney and Rose stand up and hold up their drinks and lead the cheering. Raquel is so happy with the huge gesture Mikey just made and it’s sweet. Mikey wants to have the American Dream with Raquel.

On the last episode of theReal L Word: Rose acts like she’s single, Stamie is stuck with Tracy’s mom and Whitney goes to Dinah Shore and Sara and Romi make out in the pool. Umm, I guess the commenter who said that Sara and Romi are now living together and don’t talk to Whitney is riiiight.

So the show is almost over…are you excited or sad?

He hopes that this ruling will speed up legislation making same-sex marriage legal again.

“We’re overjoyed. We’re very happy.  I’m sure this is going to be challenged all the way up to the Supreme Court, but my gut feeling is that it’s a clear Constitutional issue that’s in our favour.   The people that advocated Proposition 8 used distortion and misinformation in their campaign… That’s not the way a democracy runs. Recently, Takei made another appearance on the animated show Futurama where he played himself, or at least his head.  In it, he is the moderator in a debate between Professor Hubert Farnsworth and Bender over the legalization of “robosexual marriage”.  While marriage between people of the same-sex is legal in the show, marriage between a human and a robot is not, and it is considered sinful.  The show makes fun of a lot of the anti-marriage equality pushes in the US, including the often lampooned National Organization for Marriage ad “The Gathering Storm”.

I’ve been criticized for being disappointed with Queen Latifah for not coming out of the closet and supporting LGBT civil rights. With President Obama setting a “separate but equal” standard for same-sex couples, we need as many visible LGBT celebrities as possible. It’s sad but true, in our celebrity obsessed culture pro-lgbt rights celebrities have a huge influence. Queen Latifah would make the biggest difference in the African-American community, where there is still a lot of homophobia. Mediatakeout.com, the most popular urban gossip website, posted pics of the two women and although there were some messages that supported the couple, there were a lot that were anti-gay and are calling Latifah a “man.” Maybe if she had come out in the 90s, they wouldn’t be calling her a man now.

The Cleveland Show Popstar Justin Timberlake will voice a gay character on Fox’s The Cleveland Show. At Comic-con, the creator of the show, Rich Appel, said:

“Terry [voiced by Jason Sudeikis] falls in love with a guy voiced by Justin…Justin is just hysterical!”

The Cleveland Show is a spinoff of the ultrapopular Family Guy. Both shows have been criticsized as being unfriendly to the LGBT community. Both shows recently featured men throwing up at the idea of having sex with a transwoman. Hopefully The Cleveland Show is turning a corner and will portray Timberlake’s animated character in a humorous, but also sensitive, way.

Yes, you read that right. Braintrust and swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker wants to be horribly oppressed! The 23 year old model who hit the big time when she landed this year’s cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition told Women’s Health magazine:

“I want to live a normal life – drive my kids to school, have tons of animals running around, be barefoot and pregnant…I want all that … just not anytime soon.”

Can’t a woman be “normal” and pregnant without being barefoot? Last time I checked women can still work while they are pregnant or be stay-at-home moms without being ‘barefoot.’

Ms. Decker then goes on to say what every beautiful model known for their beauty says to try to get us “normal” women to like them. She talks about how down to earth and low maintenance she is! Only she’s not, but she thinks we are stupid enough to believe her and like her for it! She says of appearing on the set of the movie she is starring in with Jennifer Anniston and Adam Sandler, Just Go With It:

“When people hear ‘bikini model,’ they have one thing on their mind. Then they see you’re someone who shows up to the set in pajamas and no makeup, watches sports and belches.”

Right, Brooklyn. I’m looking forward to the interview when you say you “eat all the time!” and “love food!”

Angelina Jolie is constantly criticized for “forcing” daughter Shiloh to “dress like a boy” and thus turning her into a disgusting manly lesbo. Angelina has defended Shiloh in the past and now the philanthropic lady is begginning to sound a littled pissed off. She said in an interview while doing the press rounds for her action film, Salt:

“I think people think kids should be a certain way, but I feel they should wear what they feel like wearing and they should express themselves. Shiloh cried one night and said, ‘Please cut my hair off. I don’t want to have long hair.’ I’m not going to leave it long just because somebody thinks I should…I have a very strong-willed four-year-old girl who tells me what she wants to wear and I let her be who she is.

 I agree with her and not just because I’m a lesbian who loves gender bending women. It’s important to let children be who they are, it’s heartbreaking to hear stories of people who have grown up trying to fit into a mold to make their parents happy. While this is common among LGBT individuals, it is also prevalent in the straight community, like the athlete who wants to impress his dad, the solider who joined the fight because he has a family history of it, the woman who married within her religion to make her mom happy. Parents shouldn’t force their child into a mold, it usually ends in disaster.

Also, our culture of dressing little girls in frills and pink sparkles is getting out of control. Girls are sexualized as soon as they pop out of the womb and are told they need to be beautiful fashion plates before they can walk. They need to be outfitted with heels and wearing designer diapers. It’s disgusting and for once Angelina is a bastion of sanity.

Although I did not report on it, earlier this week, Angelina was criticized for letting her son, Pax, get a mani/pedi. Basically, I like Angie better than ever before. Go on with your bad self, girl. I hope you adopt 100 more babies and seed them throughout the world to help people learn to become more tolerant.

Rachel Maddow went on the Late Show with David Letterman last night. The two talked Andrew Breitbart and his manipulation of the news to incite fear and racism against African Americans. Maddow tells Letterman that Breitbart is a spin off of the Drudge Report. Letterman gets heated about how Breitbart can basically edit anything he wants, present it in any way he wants and get the story picked up by seemingly legitimate news organizations and then the White House buys into it. Of course, they are referring to Shirley Sherrod.

Watch Letterman curse Breitbart and FOX news below and get unusually political. Maddow, as usual, keep a cool head and says the only solution to Breitbart and Fox news is really to call them out on their lies and discredit them in front of their audience.

Perez Hilton and his mother,Teresita made their second video together, talking about the Prop 8 decision. Teresita is pro-marriage equality. This is refreshing, it is good to see a Latina supporting marriage equality.In the media, Latinos are often portrayed as narrow minded and opposed to LGBT rights, when in reality there are people on both sides of the issue, just as there are in other ethnic and cultural groups.

Do you think Teresita is pro-gay because her son became arguably one of the most successful, powerful gay men in the media? Teresita says that whether or not her son was gay, she would be for marriage equality. She says that with age comes wisdom and as she has gotten older she has realized that marriage equality is the way to go. She is also pro-LGBT adoption rights. They close the video with an invocation to the Supreme Court to have an open mind, should the Prop 8 case make it that far, then they high five. Watch the vid below:
