Andrew Cuomo, son of Mario Cuomo, is New York’s next governor. This will bring about the end of Carl Paladino’s spot in the national lime light. His often controversial campaign has seen him fall rather badly. He sounded rather contrite recently regarding his statements from calling Gillibrand ‘Schumer’s little girl’ to his attacks on homosexuality.

Cuomo, who is dating Food Network celebrity Sandra Lee, is a supporter of same-sex marriage, and if he can get the votes, he may be able to pass the bill to make same-sex marriage legal in New York.

Cuomo has been the clear favorite to win in this race since the primaries.
