Recently, Nick’s Parent’s Connect hosted the 2009 Parents’ Picks Awards, which gave parents from all over the country a chance to vote for their “favorite local family-friendly places”.

The Parents’ Picks are divided into 52 major U.S. cities, and includes everything from Best Dentists and Best Family Restaurants to Best Playgrounds and Parks, plus a Best Blog as well.

This year’s winner for Best Blog in the Houston, TX area is a blog for lesbian moms called “the OTHER mother: letters from the outposts of lesbian parenting” brought to us by lesbian mom Robin Reagler.

Reagler was “in a state of disbelief” over the award, and proudly shared her winner’s badge on her blog which can be found at theothermother.typepad.com.

Just a Girl in Short Shorts is a lesbian blog online that offers you a brilliant mix of news and personal commentary in a way that makes the topics covered especially H.O.T.T. (that’s the only way I can put it!). The official tag for the blog is “Just a Girl in Short Shorts Talking About Whatever: Observations and commentary by a post-modern neo-feminist libertarian cyberpunk on society, culture, politics and whatever.”

AfterEllen.com says it’s time to tell the world who lesbian and bi women think are sexy, “because even with all the increased visibility we’ve had in the last decade, heterosexual men and women still dominate the discussion about who and what is attractive, online, on TV, and in magazines like People and Maxim.”

Okay so I am a little biased but it’s true, I absolutely love my blog!

My blog is called Lesbian Mommy: Adventures of A Lesbian Mom, and that really sums up what this blog is about – my adventures in this world as a lesbian mom.

The Lesbian Mommy Blog is where I share with the world the experiences I encounter in my travels through lesbian life.
