DJ Tracy Young Doesn’t Think Kim Zolciak is a Gay Icon

I would have to agree with her. This morning, DJ Tracy Young tweeted:

The link is to a video of Real Housewife of Atlanta Kim Zolciak’s interview with Access Hollywood. In the interview, the interviewee asks Zolciak what it’s like to be a “Gay Icon.” I don’t have a problem with Zolciak, but she’s no a gay icon. Cher is a gay icon, Bette Midler is a gay icon, Madonna is a gay icon. Kim freaking Zolciak isn’t a gay icon.

Kim responds with a series of well meaning and only somewhat offensive comments. She says: ”I want to be gay in my next life never in my life have I seen more beautiful men.” You know who’s feelings that would hurt? The gay DJ who she had a relationship with. You are kind of gay, Kim.

Next, Kim addresses the issue that she has gotten upset on the Real Housewives of Atlanta when asked about her relationship with Tracy Young, in one circumstance responding “I’ve been chasing dick since I left the womb” in order to reinstate her heterosexual cred. Kim says that she doesn’t like being asked about her relationship with Tracy because “I have two little girls, I have a family.” So this gay icon is only ok with gay men and doesn’t think children should be exposed to lesbians? That’s so not gay icon behavior. Also, considering that she has been running around with a married man for years, it doesn’t seem like her children would be fazed by a lesbian relationship.

In the end though, the only person this probably really hurts is Tracy Young, who seems like she really got burned on this chick.
