Clayton,

That was put in by the last owners of the site. We're working slowly to change the site. It's going to take a while, but I think given our mission now, it's outdated. While I love our logo, I think our motto needs an update.

Thank you.

Bridgette, I commented on Topix.net, at this addy:

http://www.topix.com/forum/news/gay/T85ELBGC735FQ7PJ5/p588#lastPost

I think your article is great. So I commented as such.

As for the "gay girl" thing, though, it's offensive to Gays. If you're a female homosexual, you are a "Lesbian," not a "Gay," otherwise you are agreeing with those who want we Gays killed, who always said that "..'gay' is an attitude, so it can be treated, as a mental disorder, to fix it, for mental-health and spiritual healing."

We formed an Alliance between we homosexual men (Gays) and homosexual women (Lesbians) to define our right to exist, using the name for homosexual women you pridefully chose, and we paid for, to be "written in stone", into law.

Now, you are saying Gays are lesbians, and lesbians are Gays? Some of us died for you. My own blood spilled for your right to exist, pridefully.

Aside from that, I love your article. Kind regards, always,
Clayton Winton

As an ex-Christian myself and my opinion , I understand that religion is losing the perception of being sacred. It is now being questioned and this is the source of why they feel persecuted. The rub is that Christian believe their doctrine and hold it sacred. They don’t like it questioned. They expect others to hold it sacred as well regardless of lack of belief. (Christians falsely feel that this sacredness is need to up hold freedom of religion and to protect indoctrination/dogma). This is often expressed to me from Christians. As for me, I respect and like the religious but I will not hold any value to the bible or religion. Why? Because most people are more moral than the religious doctrines or gods they subscribe too. I do not hate the bible or religion. I simply find it comical and I reject it along with the (fatherly) subjugation it tries to enforce. Rejection is not hate. Most Christians that reject same sex-marriage do not hate gay’s. My rejection of the supernatural, bible, religion and magic is not the hate of the religious.

Writer Jamake Highwater has said that it is the insecurity and guilt feelings of many different-sex people about their own sex and sexuality that lead them to fear and condemn those of us who love our own gender--this makes them feel like they are better than us. They make us scapegoats for their "sins."
